Our Story

From our farm, to your table.

Our story began in 1932, when my parents, Fred and Naomi Johnson, settled on the very land we live and farm today, just a mile from the home my Dad was born in.

For years, Dad worked hard raising dairy cows and tending the land, while Mom—often referred to as a Proverbs 31 woman—raised me, my brother, and my sister. She worked just as hard as Dad, doing every kind of chore on the farm, even baling hay alongside the men. She was also known for her love of cooking. Mom took pride in using food grown right here on the farm, and she fed not only our family but also the many people who worked alongside us. To this day, my cousins still share stories about her meals and the joy of gathering at her table. She truly was a pillar in our community, and people still talk about the impact she and Dad made in their lives.

As a boy, I learned so much working beside my Dad—lessons about the land, the cows, and the value of hard work. When I was just 14, tragedy struck, and my Dad passed away. To help support my Mom and sister. I began raising and selling more cattle. From that point on, cattle became my life’s calling.

The big red barn holds countless memories of those years, and we’re grateful that it still stands today as a reminder of where we’ve come from.

Gerri and I were high school sweethearts, and we’ve now been married for 40 years. We’ve been blessed with three children and thirteen grandchildren. Gerri has carried on my Mom’s tradition of cooking from the farm while also creating new recipes of her own. Together, we cherish this land, our family, and our community. It is an honor to share the food from our farm with your table.
